From the small fishing room we access an oblong room where a big number of utensils and clay products. The importance of the space dedicated to pottery in this exposition is justified by the role that it plays in the daily life on the island and also by its contribution as a massive export product on the continent and outside the country.
The diverse facets of this many hundreds of years old craft industry are represented starting from the production, with its process, tools, and techniques, to the diverse products which forms and decors are anchored in local traditions.
The restitution of a pottery workshop showing the different steps as well as their appropriate spaces is also noted.
